ABOUT US

Our goals at the Texas A&M Pre-Pharmacy Society are:

  1. To assist students with the application and interview process.

  2. To provide information about a career in pharmacy through speakers from different fields, as well as facilitate group tours of various local pharmacy settings (i.e. hospital, retail, nuclear, clinical, independent, etc).

  3. To educate students about the Texas pharmacy schools’ requirements, history, and goals by having advisors from each school speak at the meetings.

  4. To assist in the preparation as well as provide study materials to students taking the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) and/or the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam (PTCB).

  5. To raise necessary funds to take an annual trip to one of the six pharmacy schools in Texas.

  6. To promote a common interest in local community service events as well as networking within the Pre-Pharmacy Society through participation in events such as Big Event and Relay for Life.

Our fall semester features pharmacy school representatives who help give a better insight into the requirements needed to succeed during the application process. Our spring semester features pharmacists from different fields of pharmacy who share information with us about their job and answer questions.

We have volunteer events, socials, and have an annual pharmacy school tour to look forward to!
